"Blood of Judas" is what Sangue di Giuda translates to. There are a few legends surrounding this name, but the one we like best is that the nuns in Lombardy would break into the cellar and have a good time drinking all the wine the monks had made. The monks grew tired of this and marked the barrels with the terrifying phrase "Sangue di Giuda" so they would not have as much disappearing wine.

However you like to cut it, this wine tastes like cherry-coke in all the best ways, plus it's 8.5% ABV!
