Etnella’s Orientale Sicula is made of 80% Nerello Mascalese and 20% Carricante, whole-bunch macerated with their skins and stems for two days. Light-bodied, crisp and clean, with strawberries, sour cherries, citrus and an underlying mineral finish.

Davide Bentivegna started Cantina Etnella in 2008. With high respect for the land, Davide’s wines are terroir and varietal driven. The vines are planted on land that is terraced with stone walls constructed with the local volcanic stones so omnipresent on Etna's slopes. The close proximity of the vines creates fierce competition and forces the roots to point downward in the volcanic soil in search of water and nutrients.
