Verboten isn’t intended to taste exactly like vermouth, but it does share many of the same ingredients. They start with a very unique blend of base beers. 40% rustic witbier, 20% dark sour in whisky barrels, 20% red sour in whisky barrels, and 20% deadcrush, which is our wine hybrid made with Petite Syrah wine grapes.

The result is a copper beer with a brown head and some bitterness from the roots and herbs. It’s got tons of complexity, and gets even better as it warms slight in the glass.
