A field blend derived from native varietals with Nerello Mascalese taking a front seat (85% of the blend). While mostly Nerello Mascalese, each grapes does add a distinct character to the wine lifting it up and adding elegance and structure. The 2020 vintage has noticeable elements of the unique region with juicy red fruit, black pepper, smoked meat, and salty minerality.

Frank grew up in wine with his father being a wine broker in Belgium so his wine knowledge thrived at a very young age. Frank specifically picked the Mount Etna region of Sicily, where he now owns 19 hectares of vines, for its unique volcanic soils. Frank originally set out to make wine with stark minerality that he describes as "liquid stone", but over the years his wines have softened and found a balance between that angular minerality and the lush fruit.
